The challenge
For their third Tax Appeal with Bigfoot Fundraising, Sydney Dogs & Cats Home faced rising operational costs and the added complexity of running a Capital Campaign to fund their new shelter. Despite these pressures, the goal was ambitious… raise $300,000 while maintaining donor engagement and differentiating messaging between immediate and long-term needs.
The solution
Bigfoot Fundraising delivered a cohesive, multi-channel campaign spanning Meta, Google Ads, EDM and SMS. The strategy balanced urgency and storytelling to drive donations, while remarketing integrated the Capital Campaign to keep audiences engaged across both appeals. Throughout the campaign, audience segments were refined and creative assets continually tested - from engaging UGC-style videos to matched-giving offers, ensuring fresh, high-performing content that appealed to both warm and cold supporters.
The impact
The appeal achieved record-breaking results, raising $346,482 which surpassed the $300k target and became SDCH’s biggest appeal ever. The campaign delivered a 5.05 ROI, with $51k tracked through Meta (3.61 ROAS) and $34k through Google (3.81 ROAS). Over 1,400 donations were made online, accounting for the majority of total income, and the appeal attracted more than 200 new donors. This campaign proved the strength of SDCH’s digital program and Bigfoot’s data-driven approach; achieving growth, efficiency and resilience across every channel.
