The challenge
CareFlight engaged Bigfoot Fundraising to create and manage their 2023 digital Christmas appeal, helping grow their online income, gather learnings and contribute to their overall target of $574,000.
The solution
Over a 6-week campaign period we took a phased advertising approach starting with engagement, scaling up and optimising with stronger donation focused ads, through to the final push.
The campaign integrated CareFlight’s offline channels alongside Meta ads, email, SMS, Google Grant and organic promotion.
The impact
CareFlight beat their campaign target and raised 7.5% more than their Christmas 2022 income. Compared to the 2022 appeal, the number of donations from Meta ads increased significantly.
Income from email increased by 130% and the average gift from email also increased by 31%.
As a bonus, we saw huge social engagement, with many donors commenting that CareFlight had saved their own or a loved one’s life.
